Warehouse Team Leader (Experienced Fork Truck Operator)

The Warehouse Team Lead position is responsible for leading the efficient handling of materials coming from manufacturing and outside suppliers that are being processed into our facility and being sent to our customers.

Primary objectives and responsibilities:
Be proficient and knowledgeable about safely operating an electric pallet jack, stand-up reach truck, clamp truck and sit-down swing reach truck.
Complete a daily safety/maintenance checklist on the material handling equipment at the beginning of each shift. Ensure all safety equipment and devices are in place and working properly.
Assure efficient unloading of inbound trucks, warehouse materials, supply production lines, and load outbound shipments.
Properly unitize and mark materials.
Load various pallets to maximize trailer utilization while minimizing transit damage.
Match content and packing slips for accurate receipting of inbound materials in system.
Complete paperwork associated with the movement of materials with accuracy and efficiency.
Will use an RF Scanner to load, unload, and move items within the facility.
Responsible for the overall safety and cleanliness of equipment
Provide consistent support, accountability and responsibility to all departments
Schedule inbound loads of customer product and production materials and supplies to facilitate production needs
Ensure all components of shipments are present to meet customer due dates and requirements prior to shipping
Notify appropriate personnel if a shipment will be delayed
Assure accurate verification of all counts, quantities, and descriptions of products and materials shipped and received.
Direct replenishment of product and materials to production lines.
Process shipping and receiving paperwork and transactions timely, including productions issues, transfers and returns.
Transact inventory movements using inventory control system.
Maintain warehouse cleanliness.
Interact with customers and vendors.
Intermediate level computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Must have good attendance
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Overtime is required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Must have at least two years forklift experience and have proficient math skills. Experience with scanners is a plus.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or GED minimum.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
