The Regional Fiber Buyer's primary responsibility it to directly purchase or coordinate the supply of recycled fiber to internal mills. Work in conjunction Regional Supply Manager to develop a network of trusted suppliers & carriers that establishes a fiber plan that will ensure quality tons that meet the mill’s grade specifications while delivering at the lowest cost possible.
Analyze data of current inventory levels along with upcoming production to form a plan of action to supply the appropriate amount of tons (per mill) needed for the week/month.
Daily monitor each mill’s consumption and inbound fiber receivables.
Monitor deliveries from each supplier to make sure they are shipping the appropriate amount of tons per the agreed plan.
Perform quality checks.
Stay in tune to other RT mill’s downtime and assist with any necessary coordination needed to move fiber tons regionally to other internal mills.
Confirm pricing with direct purchase suppliers on a monthly or as-needed basis.
Align with internal procurement and sales resources regularly.

What You Need to Succeed:
Bachelor’s level degree, with 3 plus years of progressive experience in procurement role, preferably with knowledge of recycling and/or paper industry or equivalent combination of education and experience;
