Opportunity Summary:  As a New Business Development Sales Representative, your role is to successfully establish new customers/opportunities to achieve annual sales objectives. Additional responsibilities include efficiently managing customer relationships once landed, prospecting and engaging new customers, partnering with management to complete budget planning, and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure sales strategy execution.  

 

How you will impact WestRock:

·  Thoroughly understand the industry and target customers to qualify opportunities in alignment with WestRock sales strategy

·  Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of WestRock products and pricing structure to resolve inquiries and issues with customer accounts

·  Effectively articulate sales vision and strategy to identify leads on new opportunities, manage prospects and develop a robust sales pipeline

·  Develop and execute account strategies for new and existing customers to create a customized experience for customers

·  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify value add opportunities to improve margins

·  Manage customer engagement through the sales lifecycle to ensure contractual obligations are met and to enable customer satisfaction

·  Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with Sales strategy

 

What you need to succeed:

·  2 - 3 years of experience interfacing with customers in a sales related field environment

·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field

·  Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams

·  Strategic and analytical thinker with tactical focus

·  Must be organized with great time management to manage multiple customer relationships

·  Great communication and flexibility to adjust for different audiences

·  Business acumen, having knowledge of various areas of business

·  Experience with Salesforce.com or relevant software

·  Safety mindset
