Opportunity Summary:  This role will be responsible for building a differentiated pipeline of opportunities leading to profitable sales in digital products/services across WestRock’s business.

How you will impact WestRock

This position will partner with WRK sales teams and clients to better understand customer needs for Digital/ConnectedSolutions and identify prospective customers/business.  A key element of this role is the pipelining of new sales opportunities within current and prospective customers.  To achieve this objective, this role will identify and engage customer stakeholders to understand their pressures and propose solutions that create unique value for them.  Networking in the industry to help identify broad trends, and specific contacts that can positively impact WRK’s digital business is essential.

Internally, this role will assist in training selected Enterprise sellers to clearly identify Digital/Connected Solutions opportunities that are aligned with strategic focus. In addition, this person will provide thought leadership within the Enterprise sales and development teams to reinforce the strategic vision and best practices for selling. Providing market feedback to the marketing and product development teams to enable the next generation of products is also key.  Lastly, this role will work with Senior leadership across the Enterprise to clearly communicate WestRock's Digiital/Connected Solutions strategy and product offerings to grow awareness.

 

Responsibilities:

·  Develop and manage digital business opportunities within current and prospective  Enterprise customers

·  Ensure seamless execution for new business, driving advocacy, then handing-off to existing account management structures

·  Be an emerging thought leader in the industry and participate in conferences/shows to create valuable connections for WestRock within larger Connected Solutions industry.

Qualifications:

  • Undergrad degree, graduate degree preferred (business, data science, marketing, engineering)
  • Minimum 5-10 years proven sales/business development record in one or more of the following areas:
    •  Data/Insights
    • Packaging/Supply Chain
    • Manufacturing
    • Technology
  • Experience selling complex product & solution bundles to top customer stakeholders (up to C-level)
