Permanent Project Coordinator - Senior
This position is located in Winston Salem, NC Merchandising Displays Division
The Permanent Display Senior Project Coordinator position provides all necessary job-related support to internal and external customers required for the design, engineering, prototyping, production and distribution of permanent components and finished displays. In doing so they will work to follow
the processes, procedures and best practices established for delivering the highest quality products and services that meet the customers requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following
Facilitate the Permanent Display process utilizing engineering drawings, various measuring tools associated with permanent materials and a basic understanding of manufacturing and assembly materials, processes and methodology; manage day to day aspects of projects Estimate jobs
Review and select vendors
Coordinate meetings with Engineers, Designers, Sales and Vendors.
Use Company approved Project Management system to create Bill of Materials (BOM), issue Sales Orders, and Invoices.
Coordinate delivery of raw materials
Arrange delivery of finished goods
Travel as required
Actively participate in new technology introductions and/or implementations.
Work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional counterparts to respond to customers, complete orders, improve processes, and enhance company performance
Conduct meetings with Engineers, Designers, Sales, Vendors and potential customers
Work with manufacturing and assembly facilities to facilitate and troubleshoot operations meet commitments
Other duties as required
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities, but senior level Project Coordinators may be asked to provide instruction, coaching or supervision for up to 2 other individuals when required. This position does oversee and have responsibility for supervising and managing vendors and other resources actively
engaged in a project under their management
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or GED minimum; 4-year degree preferred and at least 5 years practical industry experience in a similar or more technically advanced role
Above average time management skills are required as well as the ability to understand engineering drawings and use various measuring tools associated with permanent materials and the manufacturing process. A basic knowledge of permanent display materials, vendors and manufacturing methodology, including industry terminology is required. Any background relating to Manufacturing such as Supervisory, Direct Laborer, Quality Manager, Engineer, or Project Manager is a plus. The
flexibility to travel as needed.
