The Performance Excellence System Leader role is designed to
coach and guide the implementation of the Performance Excellence System (PES).
This role is the direct conduit between the tactical/operational and strategic
initiatives in the organization.
This position requires a leader that is able to facilitate
and drive change in a fast paced and “ever changing” environment leveraging
his/her strong interpersonal and influencing skills. The PES Leader role is at a level of a Plant
Superintendent/Plant Production Manager.
Key to success in this position is the ability
to work within and across the plant at all levels creating value and buy-in as
the key change facilitator for the Performance Excellence System deployment.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
with strategic objectives for the Division/Region/Plant and Execute PES to
education to pillar and steering team
teams to utilize Performance Excellence System and lean six sigma tools
as site lead for PES implementation and sustainment
and share foundational best-practices
that process changes become part of the DMS (Daily Management System)
with Practitioners to ensure alignment to the system across plants
Yellow/Green belts and pillar teams to achieve savings goals
Performance Excellence projects to deliver hard cost savings
HOW YOU IMPACT WESTROCK:
PES Leader role is responsible for the deployment and ongoing sustainment of
the PES Pillar system at the plant and helping to build a culture of
continuous improvement. In addition, the Leader is responsible for the
training/coaching of Pillar Leaders and the Steering team at the plant. The PES Leader may also execute Performance
Excellence projects to meet plant savings goals.
This position will be focused on driving
improvements in revenue and driving cost out of the business through more
effective processes, elimination of non-value added or duplicate efforts, waste
and other related defects in the process.

YOU NEED TO SUCCEED AT WESTROCK:
This position will implement the PES system to
instill lean culture and principles and ensure they are utilized consistently
throughout the plant/organization.

5-7 years of Continuous Improvement experience
experience with the Performance Excellence System and/or similar
experience in Lean-based Operating Systems
experience with Daily Management System (DMS) or similar
be able to perform physical activities that require use of arms and legs,
moving body, such as lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, balancing,
walking, stooping and handling of materials as necessary.
