Career Opportunity:

What you need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree highly preferable

  • At least 3 years of supervision responsibility

  • Manufacturing experience is required; industry experience is a plus

xecutes the plant strategy in the production area, ensuring alignment of goals

xcellent organization skills – the ability to prioritize tasks, staff and self to maximize services

oven team leader with strong communication skills

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

owledge of cGMP a plus


How you will impact WestRock:

  • Safety: Provide a safe work place through adherence to company safety and housekeeping policies.  Lead production crew safety meetings, when applicable.  Monitor compliance to safety policies and procedures, conduct audits of plant areas, and ensure deficiencies found are resolved or appropriately communicated. Ensure production crew is well trained, involved and committed to meeting safety requirements. 
  • Productivity: Drive productivity, including communication of goals, training of operators, and operation of machines within established process specifications, and identification and resolution of production related issues. Maximize production efficiencies, achieve targeted raw material usages, and minimize yield losses while producing high quality product in a safe manner. Troubleshoot and quickly resolve production method or machinery issues that are impacting run rates, downtime, or quality. 
  • Quality: Maintain an excellent quality level of product produced at the lowest cost.  Monitor key operating parameters to ensure the product adheres to specifications while minimizing raw material usage. Work with production operators to identify and reduce controllable quality issues.  Ensure that operators and crews are compliant with SOPs.  Review results of audits performed by QA department and communicate to production crew. Provide feedback to production crew on internal and external complaints and drive towards root cause and develop preventative countermeasures.

  • Leadership: Develop and support production team leaders. 
Coach and counsel team members.  Second point of contact for all employees on shift.  Prepare and submit reports
