Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for the production activities and
ensuring safe operating conditions for staff on the assigned shift. The Manufacturing Supervisor
maintains communications within the warehouse to monitor production demands to meet daily
production goals. This includes monitoring machine productivity, production quality, and managing

Major Job Responsibilities:

Business Excellence
• Monitor workplace frequently to identify any unsafe or unhealthful conditions
• Ensure all company safety policies and safe work practices are followed to ensure safety of
self and others
• Track production daily results with a though the DMS board to identify issues or opportunities
impacting optimal operational efficiency
• Report all overruns, shortages, equipment breakdowns and tooling issues on the daily shift
report to exchange information with all departments in the plant
• Supervise daily production activities, including oversight of team members, and monitor
performance levels of each team member
• Monitor and participate in Daily Management Systems (DMS) to track progress against
production goals and enable performance excellence
• Oversee production demands and machine workloads throughout the day
• Sustain productivity levels by properly staffing line production and equipment to meet customer
demands and align any last-minute scheduling changes
• Monitor kit pack line to ensure production efficiency and identify continuous improvement
• Troubleshoot issues or defects that may arise from quality or machine faults and identify
available resources to correct problems and return production schedule
• Ensure proper operations of equipment by requesting maintenance repairs, and or submitting
maintenance work orders along with purchase requests
• Ensure work quality meets standards and customer specifications (i.e., finishing, gluing,
cutting, etc.)
• Coordinate and direct production work flow to ensure quality standards, production efficiencies
and timely completion of production job orders are achieved
• Perform weekly audits to include safety and a machine inspection
People and Culture

• Manage workforce planning, including fulfillment of work schedules and adherence to
attendance policies (vacations, floating days, call ins, etc.)
• Communicate effectively with all functional areas of the plant to ensure all production needs
are successfully achieved
• Maintain a positive relationship with the Union to align business needs and requirements
• Promote positive employee relations and interdepartmental communication and collaboration
• Provide recommendations on disciplinary action and recommend potential improvements, as
