What does WestRock do?
We are a production facility and we make cardboard boxes. Have you ever ordered pizza or an item online? If so, there is a good chance that it was a WestRock box made in one of our WestRock facilities.
Production Workers working in our manufacturing facility are the key to ensuring quality cardboard is produced for our customers. Working as a team, you will ensure production targets are met and that all employees are working safely. Daily tasks included pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, stacking cardboard through various machines.
To be considered for this position, you must be able to work on any shift Monday to Friday (days 7:00 am - 3:00 pm, afternoons 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, nights 11:00 pm – 7:00 am). Shifts rotate weekly.
Students are required to provide vacation relief on our manufacturing floor from May to end of August.
Must be able to do manual labour and heavy lifting.
Must be able to feed corrugated stock into our machines or pack boxes.
Ability to work safely and diligently; safety, quality and attendance are key components of the job.
What you need to succeed:
Must be 18 years of age
Enrolled in post-secondary education
Able to work shift work
