A Kit/Packout Lead position is currently available in the Fulfillment Department at our Greer, SC location.

The Kit/Packout Lead position has the primary responsibility for providing leadership and overseeing an assembly/contract packaging project group, ensuring maximum productivity and quality.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
*Uses the work order as a guide for job requirements and customer specifications.
*Sets up assembly line or assists with line set up as needed.
*Responsible for inventory control, tracking and reconciliation of customer product and components, assuring that both are correct and properly placed on the line.
*Responsible for notification to Fulfillment Leader of inventory counts and additional components needed from internal production department.
*If applicable, assigns temporary staffing employees to individual tasks on the line and trains them accordingly. Teams temporary staff with full-time employees for efficient training and to further ensure quality.
*Oversees and monitors assembly flow on the line, troubleshoots problems, makes adjustments as needed, recommends and institutes line improvements, and directs temporary staff labor issues to Fulfillment Leader.
*Motivates temporary staffing employees and full-time employees to maintain maximum assembly line efficiency and to achieve assembly goals.
*Conducts quality checks with line leads to verify that the final product meets all customer specifications and to ensure quality.
*Accurately maintains all assembly paperwork and enters production data into the computer system.
*Communicates positively with other departments such as quality, customer service, and maintenance to ensure an ongoing team effort and effective problem resolution.
*Complies with company policies, procedures, and core processes.
*Complies with established safety procedures and policies.
*Keeps assembly/packout area clean and orderly.
*Performs other job duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
*High school diploma or GED required.
*At least one (1) year line leader experience required.
*Must have good personal communication skills including reading, speaking, and writing simple sentences.
*Able to read and interpret documents such as work orders from customer specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
*Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to apply concepts of high school math.
*Must have basic computer knowledge and computer skills.
*Able to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or graphic form.
