Production Supervisor - Pulp

 

 Fernandina Beach, FL Mill is accepting application for a Production Supervisor for the Pulp department.

 

 Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for 7-8 shift operations employees (represented by the USW)

  • Develop area employees through systematic training and expectation setting
  • Supports and fosters safety and environmental compliance
  • Improves efficiency of the operations by utilizing all available tools and technologies
  • Manage production rates and inventories to meet customer needs
  • Exceed and continuously improve on area downtime goals
  • Troubleshoot quality and operational issues and develops systems and structures to avoid reoccurrences
  • Manage internal product quality and facilitate change to reduce product variability
  • Track and manage area operating budget
  • Plan and execute maintenance outages on time and on budget
  • Submit project ideas that support area operations and reduce operating costs
  • Lead the crew in supporting the safety observation process
  • Engage the crew in identifying and driving change
  • Model the WestRock values of Integrity, Responsibility, Accountability, and Excellence.

 

Experience /Knowledge:

  • 5+ Years of Experience in Pulp
  • Safety, Health and Environmental
    • OSHA, State, and local laws/regulations
    • Company internal requirements and audits
    • Safety Programs and Training
    • Environmental compliance limits
  • Power and Recovery Process Knowledge/experience
