WestRock is seeking ambitious, energetic individual to join the Strategic Marketing team in Atlanta, GA. The team oversees WestRock’s Folding Carton and Consumer Mills marketing activities. The senior analyst, supports our segment strategies in Consumer Packaging.  Our objective is to help leadership define and prioritize the critical choices for our business. 


How You will impact WestRock

The successful candidate will play a key role within the core team and broader cross-functional teams to address high-value opportunities.  Specific responsibilities could include developing insights on industry structure, competitive trends, and market attractiveness; leading projects across high value strategic projects (within and across businesses); working with business leaders to define and test their strategies and progress their priorities.


This will position also develop presentations, reviews, and other materials for senior leadership and team members.


What You need to succeed 

·       Strong thought leadership

o   Analyze and understand complex strategic business issues

o   Develop innovative insights from rigorous fact-based analysis

o   Formulate commercially-relevant recommendations

·       Ability to communicate with senior management in a clear, logical manner

·       Robust quantitative and modeling skills

·       Comfortable within a fast-paced, deadline-driven and changing environment

·       Possessing outstanding personal characteristics – a high level of integrity, confidence, strong initiative taking, the ability to get agreement/buy-in, and a team-oriented work ethic



Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree from a top-tier program; an MBA is also attractive.  3-5 years of work experience is desired, ideally with a leading management consulting firm, investment bank, or in a strategy, corporate development or relevant finance role within a corporation.
