Career Opportunity:

The facility is looking for a Maintenance Coordinator to ensure the effective use of materials and limit machine downtime by maintaining production equipment availability and supporting productivity through the planning, scheduling, coordinating and reporting of repair activities. The ideal individual will need to be highly organized, time efficient, and a problem solver. 
 

Job Duties:

  • Compiling records, filing, posting information and tracking spend

  • Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information, and resolves routine problems           

  • Enters work order data in support of maintenance activity   

  • Assists with scheduling of department personnel as needed

  • Assists Maintenance manager in daily tasks      

  • Edits purchase requests and prepares purchase orders       

  • Consults catalogs and other references to obtain prices and specifications

  • Maintains, files and records of materials, prices, inventories, deliveries, and budgets

  • General knowledge of specific software programs (JDE, Microsoft, Outlook, etc…)         

  • Contacts vendors and suppliers for quotations and follows up on outstanding purchase orders.      

  • Ensures thorough and complete purchase and inventory records to provide accurate accounting of all goods and services.

  • Follows procedures for procuring materials and services     

  • Other duties associated with manufacturing and production as assigned

  • Performs work routing in a manner that assures personal safety and safety of others.     

  • Solicits bids from vendors in the WestRock RFQ/Bid Waiver process. Obtains certificates of insurance and document sign-off’s as needed

  • Coordinates activities involved in procurement of goods and services such as raw materials, parts, equipment tools and supplies.

  • This position will include use of plant inventory software system. Specific spare parts for all machines will be determined. All parts will be identified and entered in a new database.

     

    What you will need to Succeed:

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Knowledge of corrugated operations and machinery is a plus, but not necessary

  • High degree of organization and time management skills

  • Ability to be a problem solver and take initiative

  • Advanced computer skills:  Microsoft Excel, JD Edwards
         

    Experience/Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education
    and experience.
