This position is 2nd Shift (3pm – 11pm) and is responsible for supporting our plant manufacturing equipment by performing mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to minimize production downtime and improve plant performance. The candidate must demonstrate basic electrical competency.

Responsible for day to day maintenance repairs, service and troubleshooting of plant manufacturing equipment.

o   Hydraulic, Steam, Pneumatics

o   Material Transfer Conveyors and Handling Equipment

o   Building Grounds and Components

General Functions, Skills and Responsibilities

Perform basic electrical tasks involving machine motors, drives, control systems, lighting and building power systems ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC.

Able to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters.

Perform basic welding.

Perform basic machining (lathe, mill, drill press, grinder, band saw)

Read and interpret blueprints/schematic diagrams

Must be able to distinguish colors.

Perform work in high places, ladders, manlifts, mezzanine, etc.

Must be able to obtain a forklift license.

Must be able to lift 26 to 50lbs on regular basis.

Must able to perform in tasks in a hot work environment.

An industrial maintenance degree and/or certification is preferred or proof of equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 3 years. High school diploma or GED required.

Class B mechanics will be eligible for the position following the internal course completion of the required courses for a Class A mechanic and demonstrated competence of the required skills.

Candidate should have knowledge of basic computer skills and demonstrate proficiency and or ability to learn WRMD Proprietary Systems, Word, and Excel programs.
