MPS Regional Quality Director NC/NJ region--Focus on compliance, customers and continuous improvement activities to create a total quality culture and reduce costs in line with best practice procedures at MPS facilities in NC and NJ. The Regional Director will demonstrate hands on responsibility for the execution of an effective quality management system providing quality oversight and leadership to the plant quality teams as well as providing quality support to the various production departments. Among other duties, the Regional Director will lead key improvement projects evolving through customer requirements, legislative changes and amendments of the Pharmaceutical code to ensure compliance with standards and accreditation audits. He/she will facilitate customer facing activities and communications including customer visits, responses and preparation of information while leading site audit activities (external body, internal and customer). He/she will contribute ideas and participate in ongoing business improvement initiatives to reduce overall operating costs, improve margin and provide input into the strategy and operations of the site.
What you need to succeed
Among other qualifications, qualified candidates:
Must have 5-7 years of quality management or supervisory experience.
Must have experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
Must have demonstrable experience validating new equipment and processes.
Must demonstrate knowledge of root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.
Must have organizational skills to be able to manage effectively remotely.
Must be skilled in information handling, analysis and presentation.
Must demonstrate customer relations skills.
Must have project management and problem solving skills such as 6 Sigma, or another recognized Business Improvement Technique. Work and audit knowledge of ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001 preferred.
Must be able to coach and develop people including the ability to teach operational skills to others and mentor/coach accordingly.
Must demonstrate concern for standards and be results-focused.
Must be able to travel as needed to support the needs of the organization.
Must be able to continually monitor and review current working practices and make the best use of resources to improve organizational results.
