The Technology Transformation organization is seeking a Sr Master Data Analyst to support our roadmap towards common enterprise master data via strategic reporting and analysis work at WestRock. The candidate will:
Independently engage multiple divisions, functions, and global locations to facilitate ongoing master data management and governance discussions with business partners.
Lead analysis and internal interviews that identify business process and policy implementation needs for a successful MDM roll out and ongoing program sustainment.
Monitor data quality metrics, report out on findings and trends, and partner with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
Serve as a resource for internal data stewards on new processes and workflows
Establish self as a ‘go-to’ that can speak the languages of IT data management and the business
Organize and control business acceptance testing of the solution
Carry out all types of technical testing of the solution as a whole
Keep the Team Leader / Technical coordinator informed of the results of testing activities
Recommend data quality improvements in system applications
Conduct impact assessment related to technical data related issues and change requests
Pull, publish routine Data Quality metrics and MDM related reporting, to ensure smooth program operations and support and enable continuous improvement
How you will impact WestRock:
This role will enable enterprise level master data across numerous data domains, starting with customer data. Enabling consistent data governance across disparate source systems will empower business users with data-driven insights to make effective, fact-based decisions.
Support ongoing MDM roll out to drive towards an ‘economies of scale’ approach to common master data.
Over time, this role will directly enable the creation of a ‘single source of the truth’ for key enterprise insights.
What you need to succeed:
Bachelors in a Business discipline with a demonstrated interest in Information Systems / Computer Science / Industrial Engineering or vice versa
Demonstrated business acumen. Able to articulate how MDM will enable competitive analytics at WestRock. Able to tell a story with data, by connecting specific data observations to the big picture of what MDM implementation will drive for WestRock.
Past Data Analysis roles, with demonstrated experience with root cause analysis, testing, and issue resolution in partnership with technical and business resources. Experience with a varied or global systems landscape a plus. Hands on experience with Informatica MDM a plus, including data profiling and data quality analysis work.
Ability to manage competing priorities effectively
Experienced with MS Excel; comfortable with vlookup’s, pivot tables, formulas
Experienced in business requirements gathering and documentation
Experience with master data management or related content such as relational databases a plus.
Past Project Coordination work or Agile methodologies a plus.
Confident interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organization
Demonstrated logical reasoning skills. Process oriented. Able to turn complex scenarios into practical, achievable, step-by-step processes that may involve multiple stakeholders.
Fact-based communicator with a strong customer service attitude and team player approach.
