The opportunity:

The Sr. AR/VR Implementation Analyst will assist with the planning and implementation of virtual / augmented reality programs, solutions, and devices to global manufacturing facilities. These enterprise grade applications and solutions will be in support or various WestRock business units including manufacturing, HR and others. The Sr. AR/VR Implementation Analyst will report directly to the Product Manager, AR/VR/MR with engaging the business in building and launching successful AR/VR/MR solutions. 

 

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Assist the XR Product Lead in planning and implementation of varied virtual/augmented reality devices and solutions to manufacturing facilities globally and the company’s many business units

  • Work with Product and Project Managers regarding dependencies and risks for multiple, concurrent projects

  • Report status of project health and risks/mitigations to Product Manager

  • Work with factories to obtain the necessary access and scheduling to plan, train, implement and support augmented reality initiatives for the front-line workers

  • Coordinate with vendors for devices and software procurement

  • Own device management of hundreds of physical devices and user accounts across the country.

  • Assist with defining proper use cases by gathering and analyzing information and requirements through meetings and interactions with WestRock stakeholders 

  • Work closely with HR, Technology Transformation and Change management teams to drive training and adoption of defined product being released

  • Assist with the tracking and evaluate adoption, efficiency and ROI for AR, VR and MR platform, tools and solutions. 

  • Team up with project management and IT to ensure successful launch of AR/VR solutions

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors in a degree in Information Systems / Computer Science / Engineering or Finance. 

  • 4-7 years industry experience within software industry implementing AR/VR solutions as an engineer, developer, or analyst 

  • Experience with tablet/phone-based augmented reality

  • Positive attitude and drive to accomplish tasks by deadline dates

  • Experience interacting with third-party technology and consulting vendors

  • Understanding of network infrastructure and cloud services

  • Must be adaptable and able to work under tight timelines, changing priorities and unpredictable obstacles

  • Need to be able to communicate effectively with all roles within the company from factory workers to plant managers and executive stakeholders

  • Commitment to research and learning in related technologies used

  • Some experience with industrial or manufacturing operations would be a bonus

  • Experience with tablet/phone-based augmented reality

  • Experience editing video and images

  • Experience and/or good understanding for real-time audio/video communication platform and technology 

  • Experience and/or good understanding of remote trouble shooting using tools for collaboration such as skype, zoom, google, facetime, WebEx etc. 

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills across business and technical stakeholders 

  • Need to be a self-starter and proactive towards action and result oriented approach with a can-do attitude 

  • Able to manage competing demands, prioritize workload, and manage multiple responsibilities against strict deadlines 

  • Ability to identify and act quickly on opportunities. Strong analytical, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills. 

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a customer service focus. Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work and collaborate with employees at all levels. 

  • Microsoft Office (Strong proficiency in MS-Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to travel both within the US and globally up to 50% of the time
