Business Analyst – Norcross, GA

 

Career Opportunity:

WestRock is seeking to fill a Business Analyst position to be located in Norcross, GA. The Business Analyst will report to the Sr Accounting Manager and will work on continuous process improvement initiatives with internal business partners throughout the company. 

 

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Assist in defying the operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats

  • Identify, develop, or enhance tools, reports, and metrics that drive continuous performance improvement for the Shared Services team.

  • Construct workflow charts, maps, and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications

  • Document improved procedures

  • Monitor improvement projects progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions, and mainjtaining KPIs

  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support improvement initiatives

  • Manage project development from conception through completion (both large and small) in accordance with program objectives

  • Perform reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports

  • Understand and communicate the financial and operational impact of any changes

  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support your recommendations. Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes

  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement

  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues

 

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance

  • Master’s degree is a plus.

  • Knowledge of SQL and BI driven applications is a plus

  • Knowledge of Power Pivot and concepts of robotics is a plus

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience with a large company

  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills with an emphasis in Excel and Access

  • ERP systems experience. Comprehensive understanding of various integrated financial and accounting systems.

  • Proactive/self-driven work habits with demonstrated ability to lead change and improve processes.

  • Problem-solving/analytical skills.

  • Ability to research technical accounting issues, propose solutions and stay on top of the progress until full resolution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communications capabilities;

  • Ability to work collaboratively across the organization

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Must be flexible and able to multiask

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong work ethic and integrity to behave in accordance with the Company values and operating principles
