Senior Analyst, Accounts Payable – Duluth, GA
Review vendor statements and action valid invoices that are not entered, approved or paid according to established terms
Resolves open credits on vendor statements working closely with the business units for accounting and approval
Perform root cause analysis for failures and follows template procedures to resolve
Communicate directly with the business units when necessary to achieve validation of open invoices or corrective action if required by the vendor for resolution
Communicate with Category Managers, Disbursements, Treasury and Accounts Payable to complete actions
Document progress in a tracking tool that is reviewed by management
Must be able to sustain statement reviews for 60+ critical vendors monthly as well as several dozen smaller statement reviews per month
Will utilize certain tools including ERP Data Queries and reports such as Receipts not Voucher, GR/IR data and Supplier Ledger data
How you will impact WestRock:
Capturing cost in the correct financial period is critical. This position helps facilitate that need.
Building and reinforcing the accountability of P2P procedures for entering PO Receipts and resolving invoices in exception is a byproduct of this work.
Ensuring that WestRock complies with supplier agreements and contracts for invoice settlement is important.
What you need to succeed:
- 5 to 7 years’ experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger accounting or Expense Management and reporting
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Strong organizational skills; it is imperative to be able to respond quickly to an escalated situation and to gather and report findings quickly
- Undergraduate degree preferred or comparable work experience in GL Accounting and AP Management
- Teamwork and transferring knowledge are critical to the success of this position and the team
