AP Escheatment Analyst – Duluth, GA

The opportunity:

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team player to join the AP Disbursements operations located in our Duluth, GA Home Office who will review and research outstanding payments then generate reporting for unclaimed property requirements. The team member will work directly with the other members of the Disbursement and Tax departments, other internal business units, and WestRock’s affiliates to ensure the completion of all deliverables by internal and state deadlines. Additionally, the teammate will contribute to period-ending close functions, account reconciliations, special projects, and support of other team members as required. 

 

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Positively contribute to a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Validate and submit data to be used for state reports in accordance with state rules, guidelines and best practices
  • Initiate due diligence calls and communications to vendors as needed
  • Generate and present periodic reports on updates of aged items to the Indirect Tax Team
  • Provide detailed reports to Treasury and Tax for planning and filing purposes
  • Review and maintain standardized process documentation, creating new documentation as required
  • Provide support as requested by internal and external auditors
  • Complete period-end activities which includes reconciliations
  • Provide elite levels of customer service to ensure prompt and efficient resolution to internal and external inquiries
  • Support other Disbursements functions as required
  • Critically assess and challenge processes to enhance and evolve operating procedures
  • Keeps current with market trends and demands

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Ability to maintain high levels of integrity, respect, and integrity, with a commitment to excellence
  • Associates Degree preferred plus 3 years of Unclaimed Property processing experience
  • Ability to read, interpret and gain a basic understanding of various state requirements
  • Strong focus on customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond appropriately to changing demands and processes
  • Strong Microsoft office skills
  • Ability to complete and submit timely and accurate information independently
  • Strong digital skills and ability to quickly learn various software applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills
  • Keen sense of focus and acute attention to details
