Credit Manager – Duluth, GA

The opportunity:

  • The Credit Manager reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Credit Management of WestRock
  • This Manager position is a key leader in guiding financial risk principles for WestRock while partnering with operations, sales, IT, and other functional areas to drive a competitive and financially conservative balanced approach
  • The Manager will be responsible for establishing credit limits as well as monitoring credit risk of existing customer base
  • The Manager interfaces with internal/external customers to communicate customer credit risk and recommend strategies to mitigate risk
    • Offsite customer visits may be required as requested by business partners
    • The Credit Manager will become the escalation lead for problematic accounts and will lead efforts to resolution
  • This Manager position will have a team of direct reports and will be responsible for developing, motivating, and coaching employees
  • This opportunity is highly visible across the organization and requires strong communication skills and an ability to motivate individuals across various functions of the organization as well as different cultures

 

How you will impact WestRock:

  • Lead all initiatives related to sound financial risk management practices within area of oversight
  • Partner with businesses and other functional areas to drive efficiencies across our organization related to financial risk management
  • Led or co-led cross-functional integration efforts related to credit management activities of acquired companies to ensure alignment and drive efficiencies
  • Partner in leading initiatives across several functions across organization as needed
  • Other pertinent projects/initiatives

 

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years prior experience preferred with a proven track record of leading teams
    • Strong leadership, team development, mentoring/coaching, and people management skills are required
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills with a high level of comfort conversing with senior management
  • High level of strategic agility and intellectual curiosity
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
