The Opportunity

We are seeking an individual with a high level of accountability and initiative to join the Corrugated Segment Finance Team.  The Corrugated Segment Finance Team is responsible for partnering with business and finance leaders to provide analytical support and drive results.  The Sr. Financial Analyst is responsible for working with divisional and corporate finance teams to evaluate segment results and forecast as well as partner with our global operations in Brazil and India to provide analytical support, as needed.  We are a fast-paced and growing business, and the Sr. Financial Analyst will have the opportunity to support M&A integration activity and lead other ad-hoc projects.  Additionally, the Sr. Financial Analyst will develop Board Materials for the Segment.  In performing these roles, she/ he will be required to communicate effectively and professionally with various levels of WestRock management.  In completing these tasks, the Sr. Financial Analyst will be required to have solid knowledge of the Corrugated business and an ability to translate financial results into an operational dialogue.    

How You Will Impact WestRock


  • Assist in the creation of monthly and quarterly EBITDA bridges to quantify and explain business results; partner cross functionally to improve bridge methodology as needed

  • Partner with finance team members to prepare quarterly Board slides and memo; present materials to leadership as appropriate

  • Support M&A analyses and integration activities

  • Prepare financial analyses and models to aid in increasing profitability and driving segment goals

  • Partner with our operations in Brazil and India to provide analytical support, as needed

  • Work with divisions and Corporate Finance team to support the annual budgeting process

  • Partner cross functionally with Accounting, Treasury and Tax, as required

What You Need to Succeed


  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

  • 3-5 years’ work experience including some background in FP&A

  • Demonstrated skill and comfort in building financial models and extracting actionable data

  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to accuracy, passion for improvement, and desire to work in a team/collaborative environment

  • Strong Microsoft skills (Excel); previous Hyperion Essbase or similar required; JD Edwards a plus

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact credibly and diplomatically with multiple levels in the organization

  • Ability to multi-task and perform at a high level in a demanding and fast paced environment

  • Must possess the potential and desire to advance to leadership roles

  • Ability to work independently, balancing routine responsibilities with ad hoc requests
