Director, Finance Technology Process Solutions & Data Governance – Atlanta, GA

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Finance Technology (Fin Tech) Process Solutions & Data Governance team ensuring a high functioning group with emphasis on expertise, accountability and cross functional collaboration.

  • Finance Technology Process Solutions

    • Lead an organization of finance business subject matter experts to support the core enterprise processes around Record to Report (R2R), Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P) and Planning.

    • Understand the interconnectivity of processes and impacts of changes with emphasis on data and technology.

    • Partner with business process owners on solution optimization. Drive analysis, problem identification, gather requirements and expected outcomes for projects. 

    • Guide and develop strategic plans related to enterprise processes and supporting technology.

    • Drive implementation and/or integration of solutions to support business process owners.  Includes supporting or leading testing and training efforts.

    • Ensure proper project governance and execution of PMO tollgate process. Serve as the FinTech owner of entire project/program lifecycle.

    • Aid in development the overall finance technology vision, strategy and roadmap.

    • Lead the implementation of new finance technology strategy in conjunction with other Fin Tech owners.

    • Strategic partnership across the Finance organization, Finance Technology and Solutions organization and IT to deliver high quality strategic solutions that enable enterprise process efficiency, visibility, insights and structure.  Act as a liaison to other organizations as necessary.

    • Ensure engagement of all relevant stakeholders and identification of requirements from both a system and process perspective.

    • Ensures appropriate project change management including desired outcomes, accurate scope, clear roles and responsibilities and decision-making. Ensures standard change management protocols are used to support of the project and subsequent re-design.

    • Creates the systems and methods used to drive continuous improvement within finance.

    • Understand and document systems landscape.

  • Financial Master Data Governance:

    • Develop, implement and maintain governance for financial master data including Data Governance, Data Management, Strategy, Data Stewardship and Data Quality.

    • Ensure clear and consistent usage of financial data to provide visibility, comparability, and insights.

    • Provide a finance data roadmap for the organization including updates to the current chart of accounts. 

  • Travel as needed

 

Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance and/or Accounting or Management Information Systems. Sound finance and accounting business acumen
  • 15+ years of progressive experience and a proven record of leading high functioning teams with finance process, systems expertise and project management capabilities.
  • Experience working in large, complex, multi-national company.
  • Experience working in Finance and IT or IT related fields is strongly desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to adapt communication and key messages to the audience.
  • Change agent with the ability to influence, lead cross functional teams and support change management rollouts.
  • Familiar with process improvement methodologies and able to deploy a continuous improvement culture.
  • Insightful and analytical leader that provides valuable observations.
  • Strategic thinker with an enterprise approach with the ability to execute tactically.
  • Problem solver with ability to breakdown complex situations and provide solutions.
  • Proactive leader that can work in fast-paced, growing, and changing environment.
  • Track record of successful project implementations with on time and budget delivery
  • Comfortable presenting and engaging with executive leadership.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and a track record of successful project implementations with on time and budget delivery
  • Self-motivated, creative and committed to the work at hand.
  • Comfortable leading as well as executing.
  • Project management experience is heavily desired
  • MBA is a plus
  • Oracle EPM experience is a plus
  • JDE experience is a plus
  • SAP experience is a plus
  • Blackline experience is a plus
