This opening is for a 2nd shift graphic designer located in Toledo, OH.

 Career Opportunity

The Graphic Designer position is responsible for working with the pre press department to ensure files are accurate and ready for production.

How you will Impact WestRock

Responsible for the daily communication with Pre-press and Project Coordinators on the progression of the jobs throughout the print process. 

Work independently or as part of a team on the development of art work and/or designs provided by customers; collaborate creatively with Structural and Designers to develop projects and ideas. 

Preflight incoming jobs, trouble shoot problems with the digital print files. 

Review color correction and press adjustments as needed.  

Inform Prepress Supervisor of any concerns that arise with production.

Adherence to all Quality Assurance Policies and checklists. 

Conduct quality checks to give the customer the best possible product. 

Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area. 

Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. 

Overtime is required. 

Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed

Must have at least one (1) plus years of industry experience in Pre-press or equivalent experience in art design or art file conversion for production printing. Must be proficient in using Apple Mac Pro computer and the following computer software; Adobe Illustrator, Artios CAD, Acrobat, Layout Imposition Software, Kodak Prinergy workflow, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.  The position requires a highly motivated, self-starter with great attention to detail and the ability and flexibility to work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment.
