SUMMARY:
The Procurement Specialist position is responsible for purchasing and maintaining the facility’s materials and inventory.

Printing Experience Required*****

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Purchase and maintain material and inventory including, but not limited to, flexo label material and     sheet stock.
• Enter and maintain purchasing information into a computer database
• Set up and maintain sheeting programs and call off orders
• Organize and direct the scheduling and delivery of goods
• Negotiate pricing with vendors and meet with various vendors to establish relationships
• Work with suppliers and scheduling to maintain inventory levels for production
• Select, test and apply alternative solutions for materials as needed
• Collaborate with the plant’s finance group regarding purchasing needs; responsible for assisting with purchasing budget management
• Interact with Sales and Production personnel to establish priorities and satisfy customer requirements
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Printing Experience required

Education and/or Experience                     
Bachelors degree and at least 3 years purchasing experience or the equivalent education and/or experience.

Language Skills                      
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Requires the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Requires the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills                      
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

Reasoning Ability                      
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills                      
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of and basic computer skills including WRMD proprietary software as well as the ability to effectively manage Excel spreadsheets.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
The Procurement Specialist position requires excellent communication and organizational skills as well as the ability to work closely with a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
