GENERAL PURPOSE:  Responsible for providing customer satisfaction both internally and externally by filling orders promptly and accurately. Ensure customers’ arrival dates are met by determining the best method of shipping. Ensure product is stacked properly to ensure a quality shipment. 



  • Accurately records material counts to be shipped.
  • Prepares UPS/FedEx orders for shipment including all associated paperwork, recordkeeping, and labeling.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with safety rules.
  • Follows all standard operations procedures, work instructions and current SOP’s
  • Manages time effectively.
  • Ensures orders meet requirements for shipping accuracy and guidelines for customer satisfaction.
  • Processes shipping paperwork, including but not limited to, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and parcel airway bills through the use of various carrier websites.
  • Creates and processes packing lists and bills of lading properly.
  • Assures all documentation is legible and accurate.
  • Customizes skids for customer specific needs.
  • Communicates with vendors in regards to product outsourced.
  • Assures customer receiving standards are met.

·       Performs other job duties as assigned.



  • Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must have the ability to read and write complex instructions, correspondence and memos.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. 
  • Must have strong mathematical skills.
  • Must have intermittent excel skills.
  • Must be able to pass a basic reading test.
  • Must have the ability to meet and/or pass the minimum requirement on a mechanical test or have demonstrated mechanical aptitude through prior work experience.
  • Must have good communications skills.
  • Must have knowledge of loading techniques.
  • Must have the ability to operate a label machine.
  • Must have the ability to operate the FedEx and UPS meter machines.
  • Must be capable of maintaining good attendance.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  • Must be reliable and dependable.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
