To support our sites in Bourne, Greenford, Leicester, Nottingham, Tewkesbury and Wrexham we are looking for an experienced:-

Business Development Manager – Healthcare Print/Packaging – based Leicester or South Midlands

Reporting to the Head of UK and Ireland Sales, your mission is to manage and develop existing Healthcare packaging customers (cartons, leaflets, labels); to research, identify and target new products, market sectors and customers. This role is approximately 75% farmer, 25% hunter.

How You Will Impact WestRock MPS

·         Support the site General Managers / Sales Manager in the generation of the sales strategy and targets

·         Implement the sales development plan, winning new business and managing resources

·         Target and develop new sales relationships to increase sales volume and maximise profitability

·         Provide detailed market analysis (including competitor activity and market trends) to support strategic business development

·         Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of the relevant market sectors to identify and exploit business opportunities

·         Project manage the introduction of new customers into the business ensuring their effective handover to the internal account management teams

·         Provide accurate short, medium and long-term forecasts to support business planning activities


What You Need To Succeed

·         3+ years in a carton, label or leaflet print sales role

·         Solid knowledge of the printing process

·         Experience of a manufacturing environment

·         Budget management

·         Proven selling & closing skills

·         Demonstrated communication & presentation skills

·         Strong negotiation skills

·         High commercial awareness (including estimating/pricing)

·         Good PC skills (including PowerPoint/Excel)

·         Project management skills

·         Driven with a sense of urgency to achieve results

·         Clear and effective communicator at all levels
