The Opportunity:


This position reports directly to the mill’s Pulp & Wood Yard Superintendent and will provide safety, operational and employee leadership for the Pulp/Recycle and Woodyard areas. 

The Stevenson Mill is a complex, fully integrated pulp and paper manufacturing facility with two machines that manufactures corrugated medium and is one of North America’s largest semi-chemical pulp and paper mill.  Stevenson, Alabama is centrally located between Chattanooga, Tennessee and Huntsville, Alabama.  This is a unionized facility with approximately 400 employees.

What you need to succeed:

(Basic Requirements)

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • A minimum of five (5) plus years’ progressive and practical pulping operation experience.


    (Preferred Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Science or related degree

  • Knowledge of and experience with continuous digesters

  • Knowledge of and experience in brown stock washing

  • Knowledge of and experience with the recycle operations process

  • Knowledge and experience of Woodyard operations

  • Supervisory experience in a Unionized environment
