Maintenance Technician - 1st shift - Dallas, TX

GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform general maintenance and electronic repair to keep production running.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical components.
  • Troubleshoots, motors, pumps, compressors and any other systems in plant.
  • Programs computers and PLC’s.
  • Performs preventative maintenance.
  • Works on call as required.
  • Performs various types of welding as needed.
  • Builds custom parts on demand.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).
  • Training/certification in machine-specific and electronics fields.
  • Must be able to pass mechanical aptitude test.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience machining.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical component repair. 
  • Must be able to work on on-call as needed.
  • Must be certified in various types of welding.
  • Must have experience with CAD design programming.
  • Must have acute troubleshooting skills.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.
  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
