Career Opportunity
The Seamer Operator position is responsible for the overall operation of the machine
and the quality of the work produced. This includes all aspects of the converting
process - quantity, quality and subordinate performance. This position will
encompass all production aspects including inspecting material, reviewing work
orders and specification sheets prior to the start of jobs.
How you will impact WestRock
Set up and operate the machine, including reviewing of production work order and specification sheet for
pertinent information, keeping up with production records and reporting.
Review work order and specification sheets before set up.
Responsible for the efficiency of the machine and timely completion of orders.
Responsible for accuracy of roll tags and unitizing.
Responsible for checking seam integrity, fold quality, flat width, seam location, scratches, lip at seam
and air pockets.
Evaluate production quality and bring any concerns to the attention of the appropriate Supervisor.
Knowledge of which solvents are used for which materials, listed on the work order.
Responsible for maintaining supplies.
Troubleshoot production issues that may arise and inform Maintenance department of any possible
equipment problems.
Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
