Career Opportunity:

The Atlanta, GA, Food Service Packaging plant is seeking a Bobst Flatbed Die Cut Operator who will be an integral part of the Atlanta team supporting the running and maintaining the dies and related equipment.

  • Follow all machine specific lockout/tagout procedures on an as needed basis.

  • Maintain full compliance of all GMPs.

  • Participate and ensure department is compliant with SQF/YUM audit regulations

  • Maintain housekeeping excellence in accordance with 5S Standards.

  • Read and understand product specification sheets.

  • Inspect finished product to ensure quality specifications are met.

  • Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks.

  • Responsible for mounting flatbed tooling, sheeter, repair knives, and spot tape anvil.

  • Work with Die & Plate Coordinator in prepping the cutting die for operation.

  • Cleaning, lubricate and ensure the functionality of all die cutting materials.

  • Perform quality checks for die and finished product.

  • Properly mount the cutting / sheeting modules.

  • Maintain and adjust stacker for proper delivery of cartons.

  • Maintain waste generation at or below budgeted standard.

  • Perform scheduled machine PMs and enter work orders as needed.

  • Coordinate with shift supervisor and wet end operators to meet or exceed productivity goals.

  • Monitor dry end personnel for safety, quality, and productivity.

  • Work overtime as determined by the department supervisor or the production manager when customer demands require it and/or other mitigating factors

 

What you need to succeed:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.

  • Prefer work experience in a corrugated manufacturing plant or Bobst Flatbed die cutting.

  • Must be self-starting/self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a sense of urgency to

complete tasks accurately and on time.

  • Good communication skills including the ability to interact with other levels of management and

 staff.

  • All other duties as assigned
