The opportunity:

 The Master Black Belt- Customer Differentiation (Process Improvement Engineer) to be located in our corporate office in Sandy Springs, GA. This individual will support the corporate quality, customer service and sales functions and will be expected to execute projects using Lean-Six Sigma Tools and Methodology.  The customer facing MBB is expected to increase customer satisfaction and  revenue  as well as reduce costs – impacting both the top and bottom lines  Ultimately, this leadership role will sustain the existing base while partnering with key customers to grow the WestRock business.  The position requires 80% travel (4 days per week).

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in a structured Lean Six Sigma environment and be able to provide expertise and leadership in improving Customer Service, Sales and Sales Strategy.

 

               How you will impact WestRock:

  • Work with the executive leadership team to develop and strategic plans for effective Lean Six Sigma Implementation across the company

  • Successfully lead concurrent, lean six sigma projects and Kaizen events with significant P/L improvement

  • Utilize the Lean-Six Sigma Methodology to improve both business processes (transactional) as well as operations processes

  • Work effectively with operations to translate process improvement findings into sustained improvements and standard work

  • Will work on projects/Kaizen events involving customers, customer service and sales personnel to understand customer requirements and proactively address concerns – typically using team based problem solving to find root cause.

  • Effectively Lead/Coach and Mentor full and part time resources through project execution and sustain activities.

  • Work within the Six Sigma Department to improve our processes and increase our effectiveness to the organization.

What you need to succeed:

Technical Skills:

  • Certified Black Belt with demonstrated ability to execute complex projects using Lean-Six Sigma Tools and Methodology

  • BS/BA required

  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Lean Six Sigma across quality, customer service and sales networks

  • Demonstrated ability to teach Lean-Six Sigma Methodology. 

  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor Lean-Six Sigma Projects

  • Kaizen event methodology

  • Value Stream Mapping & understanding of 8 wastes, Value Add vs. Non-value add, etc.
