Strategic Marketing and Insights Analyst – Richmond, VA

 The opportunity:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to join WestRock’s Enterprise Solutions organization, which supports 40 of the company’s most strategic
    accounts along with key enterprise initiatives.  
  • The Analyst role specifically supports the Strategic Marketing and Insight teams, which are part of the Enterprise Solutions Hub, a small group of skilled professionals that participate in a broad range of commercial activities.

How you will impact WestRock:

As an Analyst on this team, you will work on a variety of projects and activities, including gathering and analyzing information, supporting team initiatives and developing and communicating recommendations.  This role provides the opportunity to work with a variety of different teams and account leaders, providing broad exposure to the organization.

Market Research and Analysis: Research, Interpret and Present 

  • Develop deep understanding of available marketing tools and resources and become proficient in quickly accessing and interpreting information.
  • Analyze relevant data and develop reports and fact bases from information that support business objectives.
  • Analyze retail and consumer insights to determine actionable implications that align with market, customer and company objectives.
  • Support customer engagement preparation by compiling company profiles, industry trends and retail and consumer insights.
  • Build reports that summarize consumer insights study results.
  • Build presentations and communication tools that present findings in clear, concise manner.

Project Management

  • Support project-specific initiatives, including but not limited to, Retail Ready Packaging and Retail Learning Labs.
  • Organize and upload final reports on shared team drive.
  • Manage marketing repository.
  • Manage and conduct packaging audits and store sweeps.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to clearly communicate both simple and complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong work ethic and great attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and without direct supervision.
