Primarily responsible for supervising the electrical and instrumentation mechanics for the entire facility. Is responsible for the safety, training and assignment of work to the maintenance personnel in his area; responsible for maintenance spending in his area along with the other members of the maintenance team, maintenance planner, operating department maintenance coordinator and operating department superintendent; responsible for seeing that mechanics conduct themselves in accordance with all corporate, division and mill safety and environmental rules and procedures; responsible for making sure that the mechanics in his/her area are using the proper parts and equipment to complete all maintenance work appropriately for their safety and those of the other people in the area; responsible for maintaining the equipment in his area in such a way that the equipment has the maximum possible uptime at the lowest possible cost. Expected to be the chief troubleshooter on the equipment in his/her area.
What you need to succeed:
Experience in a manufacturing leadership role required.
Model safe work practices and behaviors in all you do. Working knowledge of NFPA 70E, NEC.
Bachelor’s Degree preferred (preferably in an engineering or technology arena).
Proven Leadership skills in developing strategies to attain performance objectives required.
Experience using Reliability tools such as Pareto analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) preferred.
Experience working with advance Predictive Maintenance tools such as Infrared, Vibration, Oil, and Ultrasonic analysis, shaft and machine alignment, and precision maintenance preferred.
Experience or working knowledge of PdMA or Baker motor testing.
Transformer Doble and oil analysis.
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and 5S.
Solid PLC, VFD, and DCS background. (Rockwell, Honeywell, Siemens)
DC drive experience.
Excellent troubleshooting skills that you can use to coach and mentor.
