The Opportunity:

The Maintenance Reliability Manager develops and manages the maintenance and reliability strategy, supporting the objectives of the facility to achieve business goals. Develops and administers plant maintenance systems and philosophies, providing efficient and effective projects and maintenance services to the plant. The manager administers both contracts and the maintenance budget and ensures compliance with regulations and corporate standards.  The Maintenance Reliability Manager directs the development and implementation of maintenance and reliability programs and processes to deliver an objective return on investment, within the boundaries of available resources and constraints.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

Plant-wide equipment reliability and maintenance across multiple production departments and shifts

Aligns with and understands the needs of the business and communicates goals

Creates and implements strategic direction for reliability/maintenance to align with the facility’s strategic objectives

 

Instill a “proactive” approach towards safety with employee engagement

 

Ensure safety rule and OSHA/Environmental regulation compliance across all technicians and contractors

 

Manages and optimizes outside contractor services and contracts for facility for projects in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager

 

Works in the framework of the maintenance budget

Creates, implements, and monitors work processes to achieve business objectives in terms of operating asset utilization

 

Creates, implements, and monitors metrics to identify continuous improvement needs and performance management issues using plant business tools

 

Manages the reliability and maintenance procedure system and the documentation system (e.g., equipment files)

 

Understanding of TPM as well as Preventative and Predictive Maintenance processes including PM coordination and PM optimization (PMO)

 

Conducts and lead a root cause analysis and implements corrective actions. Using key Reliability KPI’s through the plant Daily Management System for data entry, corrective action tracking, and communication

 

Work with Department Managers to understand production schedules and priority lines

 

Maintains Work Flow Process

 

Assists capital improvements and plant engineering project

 

Reports to the Plant Manager

 

                            

What You Need to Succeed:
4-yr technical degree, with > 5 years of industrial leadership experience or 2-yr technical degree with >8 years of industrial leadership experience

Experienced in the use of CMMS to drive maintenance effectiveness and efficiencies

Competent user of CAD and Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, Word, Outlook, Project

Experienced in the implementation of equipment reliability process, including Preventive Maintenance, Predictive Maintenance, Root Cause Failure Analysis and Corrective Actions

Ability to communicate at multiple levels – partnering with both external and internal resources

Proven track-record in developing strategies to attain performance objectives along with organizational development wins.

Electrical/PLC/programming experience preferred.
