The opportunity:

We have an opportunity for a Reliability Mechanic on 2nd Shift who participates in daily maintenance functions, inventory control, repairs, and other assigned duties under the supervision of the Reliability Manager.    



             Observe all company safety policies and procedures.

             Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions as advised by the Reliability Manager.

             Accurately account for all maintenance time and document each shift.

             Complete assigned work orders as advised by the Reliability Manager.

             Rebuild or recondition worn parts for repair.

             Routinely perform cycle counts on inventory parts and order restock parts to ensure adequate levels are kept in CMMS.                            

             Perform housekeeping duties to insure department and company standards are maintained.

             Perform troubleshooting on all plant equipment. Mechanical, Electrical, and PLC.

             Performs any other tasks trained for and assigned by Reliability Manager.



What you need to succeed:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities required.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School graduate or G.E.D. Required.

Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility as a mechanic.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic Math skills required. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides whole numbers, fraction and decimals. Able to convert fraction to decimal equivalent.

MECHANICAL SKILLS: Understand plant machinery, pneumatic & hydraulic systems, welding and fabrication skills desired, basic understanding of photo eyes, proximity & limit switches.

ELECTRICAL: 2 years of Electrical (Electrician or Industrial Electrical Maintenance) & PLC experience required.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Ability to read, write & understand basic English.  Able to communicate effectively, get along with coworkers, employees in other departments & management, Deal effectively & professionally under pressure.

REASONING ABILITY: Requires making decisions based on established guidelines regarding running or shutting down equipment and operational problems/difficulties of all kinds. Must be able to prioritize work accordingly.

ATTENDANCE:  Accrued attendance points must below 5.

             Minimal 8 hr shift schedule with some overtime.

             Occasional overhead lifting.

             Required to stand & walk continually.

             Occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling 40 to 60 lbs.

             Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling & reaching.

             Constant noise levels above 85db.

             Constant dry/dusty (paper) environment.

             Constant work around machinery and forklifts.

             Safety glasses & hearing protection is required.

             May experience temperature extremes based on outside temperature.
