The opportunity:

As a member of the Information Security team, the IT Compliance Junior Analyst is responsible for facilitating the User Access Review (UAR) process.  The UAR process is a SOX requirement to ensure that users have appropriate application and platform access.  The IT Compliance Analyst ensures that UAR’s are complete, accurate, and finalized timely.  This includes collecting user access listings, ensuring IT and business management respond to the reviews, and confirming access is appropriately updated.  In addition to the UAR’s, the Analyst serves as a connection between IT managers and internal/external auditors, both to complete the annual SOX audit and a variety of risk-based audits, and to ensure that actions are taken to address identified deficiencies.

 

The IT Compliance Analyst should be able to work independently as well as in a team setting to accomplish specific tasks.  The IT Compliance Analyst should possess strong time management and organizational skills and be able to meet deadlines.  Strong written and oral communication skills are needed to follow up and document processes related to UAR’s and other SOX and audit activities. 

 

How you will impact WestRock:

 

·         Plan, execute, and facilitate annual and quarterly user access reviews for SOX applications and platforms.  Work with IT and Business management to ensure reviews are appropriately executed, documented and completed. 

·         Support IT activities associated with the annual SOX audit and various risk-based audits. Collaborate with system owners and business process owners to develop and implement corrective actions to address identified control deficiencies. Provide periodic status reports for senior IT management.

·         Support the WestRock culture of Integrity, Respect, Accountability and Excellence. Demonstrate a focus on problem-solving, continuous improvement and teamwork across internal and external borders.

What you need to succeed:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in an IT- or business-related field, or a similar level of training

·         1 to 2 + years of IT, audit or compliance experience.  1+ year of experience in performing or responding to SOX and other IT audits is desired, but not required

·         Ability to communicate across multiple levels and functions of the company including senior leaders within the business, IT, Internal Audit, Legal and other corporate functions

·         Some knowledge of IT General Controls is desired. 

·         Proficient with MS Excel, Word and other Office Tools.
