IT Manager, Commercial Excellence - Sandy Springs, GA

*Must have experience in the paper packaging industry*

The opportunity:

  • The Commercial Excellence IT Manager will be responsible for leading IT initiatives to support the business in development and implementation of Commercial Excellence (CE). 
  • Liaison among business stakeholders, business and IT leaders and IT resources to identify, validate, communicate and execute requirements for the creation of CE tools and processes. 
  • Understands the business goals and recommends process and system solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
  • Manage solution development across various IT platforms and teams to consolidate and deliver all required data into one set of tools.
  • Liaison directly with CE team resources to define and prioritize requirements.
  • Develop project plan and drive execution across all resources.
  • Leverage IT Platform and Business Process Subject Matter Experts to ensure alignment on the data definitions, source locations, calculations  and utilization.
  • Liaison to business and IT partners across organization to align technology solutions with business strategies and ensures appropriate prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Research issues brought forward by various stakeholders and sub-teams, formulates solutions and presents solutions.
  • Develop, document and ensure test plan execution for quality assurance and requirements coverage.

  • Compile data from across various systems/divisions in WestRock’s Consumer Packaging Segment and develop tools that will drive improved costing and pricing science across the segment.
  • Perform analytics that enable business leaders to look at data differently and make decisions that drive profitable growth.
  • Provide data driven tools that aide in identifying opportunities for cost savings and margin enhancement.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7+ years of experience with costing/pricing in paper packaging industry
  • IT experience
  • Plant operational experience
  • Project management experience
  • Business/Data analysis experience
  • Strong operating system usage
  • Solid communication skills
