Multi Packaging Solutions (MPS) is a print-based specialty packaging business within WestRock that focuses on healthcare and high-end consumer markets, including confectionery, cosmetics, premium spirits and media packaging. For our six pharmaceutical leaflet printing plants in the UK, Netherlands, France, Ireland and Belgium we are looking for an experienced;

HR Manager – European Leaflets

This new role has been created to lead and manage the HR function for the European Leaflets cluster.  Providing a generalist business partner role to the VP of European Leaflets and management team, and reporting to the HR Manager for European Healthcare, this role will develop and deliver the Human Resources Plan for the Leaflets business.  Ideally based in Tewkesbury, we would also consider basing the position in Greenford London or Westport in Ireland.

How You Will Impact WestRock MPS

·         Operate as a member of the leaflet cluster management team as a functional expert, coach and trusted advisor

·         Work with the business to ensure business objectives are achieved by aligning the People Plan, policies and processes with a special focus on sales growth and operational efficiency

·         Identify and manage the HR part of complex change programmes around acquisition / growth strategies

·         Ensure a solid communications framework across the sites  

·         Manage and lead a team of high performance five HR generalist professionals across multiple sites and geographies ensuring a focus on professional development through objective setting, training, coaching and mentoring

·         Measure functional progress through HR metrics and have clear action plans regarding absence, retention, engagement and recruitment

·         Keep up to date with European employment law developments and required implementation

·         Be an active member of the Global HR management team and build a network with our existing regional HR managers to share best practice

·         Input to the design of Group HR initiatives and lead the subsequent roll out across the business region

 

What You Need To Succeed

·         2+ years experience in a similar role

·         CIPD or equivalent

·         HR professional with experience of line management in an EU multi-site, cross geographical environment

·         Manufacturing sector experience and working within a unionised environment

·         Proven ability to manage and drive change

·         Experience of implementing best practice in all areas of HR – engagement, reward, talent management, people development, employee relations, policies and procedures and recruitment

·         Driven with a sense of urgency to achieve results

·         Excellent inter-personal skills

·         French and Dutch languages are a plus

·         Clear and effective communicator at all levels
