GENERAL PURPOSE:  Provides administrative support consisting of recruitment, on-boarding, file/data management, analytics and on-going employee support.



  • Prepares and posts job openings, gathering appropriate approvals.

  • Screens candidates, monitoring and tracking applicants through interview process. 

  • Sources candidates for hard to fill positions.

  • Conducts reference checks.

  • Schedules/administers all pre-employment testing.

  • Updates recruiting reports and applicant tracking system with daily activity.

  • Supports job fairs and on-campus recruiting when required.

  • Assists with maintenance/preparation of job descriptions.

  • Prepares new hire packets.

  • Conducts new hire orientations, collecting all required documentation.

  • Ensures I-9 compliance.

  • Assists with required training conducted throughout the year.

  • Responds to employment verification requests per company policies.

  • Assists in HR audits.

  • Assists with coordinating company events.

  • Maintains/updates vacation records and calendars.

  • Audits time clock reports to ensure compliance with attendance policy.

  • Uses HRIS to run reports, including new hire, termination, and performance review reports.

  • Prepares and updates reports and spreadsheets as requested.

  • Maintains employee files and supporting documentation.

  • Manages uniform service, and other shop equipment service needs.

  • Coordinates/handles vending machine service as needed.

  • Creates badges for new hires and replacement badges as needed.

  • Ensures bulletin boards are in compliance with required HR federal/state law postings.

  • Provides back up support to Receptionist as needed.

  • Assists with special projects as assigned.

  • Performs other job duties as assigned.



  • Must have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree and/or minimum two years’ related work experience.

  • Must have good verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organization skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Must have strong clerical skills.

  • Must have analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

  • Must be able to be discreet and adhere to strict confidentiality policies.

  • Must be able to perform job duties with minimal supervision. 

  • Must be able to maintain good attendance.

  • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills (email, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.).

  • Must be well-organized and able to manage time efficiently.

  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.

  • Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

  • Must have a professional appearance.

  • Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation.
