Accounts Payable Manager

How You Will Impact WestRock MPS:

  • Manage AP outsourcing relationship and governance covering UK sites with planned scope expansion across Europe. Function as a liaison between the business and outsource provider and escalation point for issues.
  • Ensure minimum service levels for daily invoice processing and exception resolution are achieved with a focus on continuous improvement and automation
  • Ensure all WestRock polices are adhered to by outsourced provider·
  • Partner with Plant personnel, the Accounts Receivable team lead and outsource service provider to ensure banks are reconciled and posted daily
  • Act as escalation point for Suppliers who are not receiving levels of service expected from Outsourced Shared Service center
  • Lead Standardisation of AP processes and procedures
  • Lead AP area in transition of shared service
  • Assist in Implementation of new technologies
  • Monitor and ensure all T&E claims are in line with policy and paid on time to expectation
  • Monitor and ensure all supplier statements are reconciled in line with AP matrix
  • Review and ensure all possible early settlement discounts are being taken in line with agreements and company strategy
  • Maintain the vendor master, overseeing the process to add, modify and delete vendors.
  • Oversee AP month-end close responsibilities

What you need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in implementing and leading Accounts Payable shared services desired
  • Experience in B2B vendor master data management in multi plant / legal entity structure
  • Strong communication skills and experience in interacting with both external suppliers and divisions
  • Project management and strong problem solving skills desired
  • Be able to proactively build relationships with suppliers and departments
  • Must be very organised and systematic in approach to work·
  • Advanced MS Excel
  • Must have good time management skills and be able to meet strict deadlines
  • Willing to travel as required
