Senior Accountant – Consolidations – Norcross, GA

Career Opportunity:

The Senior Accountant – Consolidations is responsible for preparing monthly statement of cash flow and the bridge between Cash Flow and Balance Sheet.

How you will impact WestRock:

•Assist with the month end consolidation process, including but not limited to:

  1. Preparation of monthly Statement of Cashflows and cashflow Commentary

  2. Prepare analysis /bridges between Cashflow and Balance sheet

  3. Analysis of the impact of FX exchange

  4. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and rollforwards for major accounts including Intangibles, Goodwill, Investment in Joint Ventures, Minority Interest, OCI, APIC, Retained Earnings, etc.

  5. Participant in merger and acquisition related projects

•Coordinate with the various corporate departments to provide monthly financial information as necessary

•Assist in development and implementation of consolidation process improvements

•Assist in audit process through the preparation of schedules and communications with internal and external auditors

•Maintain proper documentation in lieu of Sarbanes Oxley

•Analyzing financials for significant fluctuations and proper reporting presentation.

•Accounting for intercompany reconciliations, cash settlements and clearings, remeasurement and elimination for transactions across countries and systems.

•Work well in a dynamic environment under tight deadlines

•Perform special accounting projects as assigned

 

What you need to succeed:

•4-year degree in accounting, CPA or MBA degree preferred

•A sound knowledge and understanding of general ledger structures, equity accounting, foreign currency accounting, cash flow reporting, and consolidations

•Minimum of 5-8 years related work experience

•Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

•Detail oriented Strong technical and analytical skills

•Can think on his/her feet that is always up to conquering a challenge and is not afraid to take the initiative to get things done.

•Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, macros, etc)

•HFM, JD Edwards and Essbase systems experience

•Big 4 experience preferred
