GENERAL PURPOSE:  Evaluate the financial impact on the company for potential orders. Accurately predict cost of each print job.


·         Supports new business development by preparing cost estimates for pharmaceutical insert/labels/carton distribution, including reviewing product specifications, manufacturing routes and locations, and assessing value elements of bids for different site options.

·         Summarizes and recommends cost margins to management for determining product pricing and develops and presents proposals for customers to engineer-out cost.

·         Develops and analyzes estimating metrics and customer price grids and support calculation, analyzing and approving cost rates for all insert/labels/carton operations utilizing VBA modeling in Excel. 

·         Conducts profitability analyses and performs cost rate calculations to identify and develop cost saving and profitability improvement opportunities across all insert/labels/carton operations utilizing actual costing techniques, including monthly analysis of gross profits, development of individual margin improvement projects, analysis of monthly manufacturing waste levels and raw material costs.

·         Monitors and reviews over/under recovery costs and supports recalculation of cost rates. 

·         Utilizes ISO quality management systems and manages commercial elements of Radius and PECAS Vision II ERP system across all insert/labels/carton operations, including controlling pricing functionality, ensuring that all parameters, speed tables, cost rates and waste percentages are maintained.

·         Performs actual versus estimate analyses, including conducting regular reviews of estimating parameters versus actual manufacturing costs to ensure current and accurate data tables are applied. 

·         Compares estimate to actual cost for completed work. Provides alert to trends in production efficiencies when comparing estimate to actual costs

·         Assists in development of annual budget.

·         Performs other job duties as required



·         Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Finance, Accounting, or other related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience, is required

·         Must have minimum three years related experience

·         Knowledge of conducting profitability analyses

·         Must be able to use basic algebra and geometry to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportion, percentages, area circumference and volume

·         Must have intermediate computer skills (electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.).

·         Must be reliable and dependable.
