Evaluate existing WestRock customers with limits exceeding $100,000 for credit limit increases; involving running and analyzing 3rd party reporting applications, bank/trade references, financial statements, and public company filings (10Q/10K), debt ratings as well as evaluating the customers’ payment history with WestRock.
Participates in major department projects, meetings and take an active role in cross-functional teams to assist in driving quality improvements, processes, and initiatives.
Maintain reserves on high risk accounts through the AR Reserve Process; participates in the AR Reserve monthly process upon request.
Maintain assigned portfolio reviews within the recall date and turn days target for credit reviews.
Maintain customer accounts within the credit limits and keep oversold accounts at the given targets.
Release orders timely and make sure account is in good standing when releasing orders.
Maintain Bad debt write-off goal for the assigned portfolio within the given target.
Maintain the SEL’s, Watch list and AR Reserve for your portfolio.
Participates and pass all SOX, Internal Audit, Securitization, and ISO audits.
Analyze financial statements identifying potential financial risks.
Set risk-based credit limits using all available credit information.
Review existing customers’ payment history and credit reports for credit limit adjustments.
Communicate credit decisions to customers and senior management.
Obtain missing credit information from requesting plant/salesperson.
Identify accounts for Strategic Exception Limits (SEL’s).
Ongoing communication of WestRock credit policies.
Regularly review customer accounts for credit limit adjustments.
Proactively review customer credit risk changes with Collections and Credit Management.
Develop/Maintain positive working relationships with all internal/external customers.
Ensure prompt response time on all credit related requests.
Run daily queries to assist with overall portfolio management.
Actively participates and communicates in the team-based work groups that make up the Cash Applications, Credit, and Collections.
